The Wenatchee World participates in the Wenatchee Valley Literacy Council Spelling Bee. Adults from various businesses participate in this Bee to raise funds for the Wenatchee Valley Literacy Council. Christmas Card Contest
Each year students in grades 2-5 in Chelan and Douglas counties are invited to help design The Wenatchee World's Christmas Card. This is a collaborative project with the Wenatchee Festival of Trees. The completed pictures are exhibited at the Festival of Trees Children's Art Exhibit at the Wenatchee Convention Center in November each year.
