If you feel like roughing it in the great outdoors, but don't want to get too far from civilization, consider visiting a U.S. Forest Service or National Park Service campground. Dozens of federal campsites, usually more remote and with fewer services than full-hookup state parks, are scattered throughout the Wenatchee and Okanogan National Forests and the Coulee Dam National Recreation Area.
